MIGUEL'S SAXOPHONE LESSONS

Sept 29, 2024

Hi Miguel!

You're off to a fantastic start!

Remember to always make a singing tone and not a shouting tone (too much mouthpiece in your mouth tends toward shouting).

- In the EXERCISES section below, you'll find the pdf of the Standard of Excellence book - get started on the first few pages as we discussed.

 - Also in the EXERCISES section, watch the videos about reading music (link is below)

- In the TUNES section you'll find a pdf and video of When the Saints Go Marching In. You already learned the notes G, A, B, and C and I quickly taught you the note D yesterday in our lesson (D has left fingers 123 + right fingers 123 + octave key).

- Also in the TUNES section, you can have a look at the duets if you want, but I think there may be several notes that you don't yet know - we can go over this at the next lesson.

Exercises-

In the method book below, review p. 6 and move on to p. 7. If you're understanding everything and wish to move on further, you can go through p. 9:
Click this link with videos about reading music - these will make things much easier!
